The Social Outfit is a contemporary fashion label that empowers women – both the refugee and migrant women who make the clothes, and the customers who wear them. They produce fashion apparel and accessories in their Marrickville workroom for their fashion label and for other local brands and businesses. Founded with the purpose of supporting refugee and new migrant women to kick-start their Australian careers, The Social Outfit is a registered charity operating as a work-integrated social enterprise. Refugee and migrant women can access paid employment, industry-aligned training and community connections through innovative programs in garment production and retail.
