Ethical Clothing Australia launched Ethical Clothing Australia Week 2026 with Voices Behind The Seams at Collingwood Yards in Melbourne.
Through live storytelling and guided conversation, workers and outworkers shared their personal journeys, the pride they take in their craft and the realities of working behind the seams.
The event brought together local workers, accredited businesses, industry leaders and advocates to explore the value of local manufacturing, the challenges workers can face and their hopes for the future of the industry. It provided an important opportunity to hear directly from the skilled people who make our clothes but whose voices are rarely heard.
