Say hello to our newest knitwear brand Francie Melbourne Founded by Anna Woodruff.
Francie Melbourne has become known for its signature shapes made from natural fibres including organic merino wool, alpaca, and mohair. Their Japanese inspired designs are cleverly made in one piece on one of the last knitting machines operating in Australia and finished by hand in their Brunswick studio. This means minimal waste, minimal labour and no uncomfortable seams.
Francie Melbourne’s garments are also cleverly made to be one size to fit sizes 6-16. Their boxy shape allows for the designs to be worn trans seasonally over skirts, dresses or under coats. The shape is designed to suit every body type.
ECA welcomes Francie Melbourne,
“We are excited to be adding another Melbourne based knitwear label to our accreditation program. Francie Melbourne is also a great addition to our 14+ category, making shopping ethically more accessible to everyone”.
– ECA National Manager Angela Bell
Francie Melbourne works with talented local workers to knit their garments, to help finish ends and then sew on the buttons and labels. Francie Melbourne believe that their workers are like family.
