The event will feature panellists and Homeworker Code Committee members Tara Allen (PR & Marketing Executive, Veronika Maine and Cue) and Beth Macpherson (National Compliance Officer, TCF Union). The event will be hosted by Rachel Reilly (National Manager, Ethical Clothing Australia).

This panel discussion will dig into what ethically made clothing really means, both from the perspective of consumers and brands, as well as what consumers can do to make purchasing decisions that better align with their values. It will also look at what ethical brands are doing to rise above those that simply make ethical claims, and how ethical manufacturing influences other aspects of the business.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry experts with a wealth of knowledge in Australian textile, clothing & footwear manufacturing. The discussion will also touch on the advantages of manufacturing locally and how businesses are using homegrown talent and skills to produce high-quality products.

Ethical Clothing Australia is excited to continue our presence at PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s program in 2023. This panel will particularly focus on the importance of ethical manufacturing and operations in Australia. It is important to have these discussions now, as we are in an exciting time where consumer interest has driven much momentum and discussion in the space.
