Come along and follow the journey of a garment – from creation through to the final product when it’s ready for the runway – or delivery to you! From fabric artists and printers, to patternmakers and machinists, this will be a visually compelling story of the many hands that make our clothes. Join us for the launch of Many Hands: The Making of a Garment which will include a discussion about the importance of highlighting the people and the skills behind Australia’s local industry. Expect to meet some other ethical makers at the event, learn more about brands that are made in Melbourne and about the importance of protecting the rights garment workers.
