Ethical Clothing Australia Week
About the week
Behind every uniform, every piece of PPE and every garment in your wardrobe sits a chain of skilled people. Ethical Clothing Australia Week is dedicated to putting names, faces and stories to that chain.
Each year, this week-long program celebrates the skilled workers, including outworkers, within our local textile, clothing and footwear industry, and highlights the accredited manufacturers and brands who keep their local supply chains transparent, compliant and fair from design to dispatch.
From live events, online webinars, and events run by our accredited businesses themselves, the Ethical Clothing Australia Week gives the public, industry and government a reason to look twice at where their clothing comes from.

Ethical Clothing Australia Week 2026
Ethical Clothing Australia Week 2026 ran from 10 to 20 September under the theme “All Clothing Is Handmade,” a reminder that every garment still depends on human skill at every stage. The program spanned two live events in Melbourne and Brisbane and five co-hosted webinars on styling, procurement, social enterprise, regional manufacturing and careers. Four accredited businesses also opened their doors for factory tours, a printing workshop and a webinar.
