ECA on ABC: Buying Australian-made clothing? It might not be as ethical as you think

Shoppers are more than ever being urged to question whether those labouring to make their clothes,  shoes and textiles are being treated fairly.


Last week the ABC explored this topic, interviewing our National Manager Angela Bell, local garment worker Nga Huynh, Textile Clothing and Footwear Union Compliance Officer Casey Thompson and Gary Campbell from the Ethical Clothing Australia accredited-brand Nobody Denim.  The ABC covered a range of issues in the the local textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) industry and the role that ECA performs in protecting and upholding the rights of local garment workers.
