Ethical Clothing Australia Banner

Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA®) is an accreditation body working collaboratively with local textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) businesses to ensure their Australian supply chains are legally compliant.

Our accreditation is focussed on ensuring that local TCF workers are being paid appropriately, receiving all their legal minimum entitlements and working in safe conditions throughout the entire supply chain. As manufacturing supply chains can be complex, we work alongside Australian businesses to ensure their legal obligations are met.

The program maps a business’s Australian supply chain throughout design, pattern making, cut, make, trim and dispatch, including all value adding services. This is done via annual compliance audits conducted through an agreement with the Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Union (the Union).

Once compliant, businesses can use the ECA certification trade mark on their Australian made products and in a range of other promotional formats.

Being accredited and supporting ECA accredited businesses strengthens the local industry and helps protect the wages, entitlements and conditions of workers in Australia’s TCF sector.
